Welcome
Starting therapy takes the courage to face old habits and beliefs and the sense of self-worth that you deserve things to be better.
About Me
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I am dedicated to supporting clients who are facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, and trauma since 2007 and am a level I IFS practitioner.
I see therapy as an opportunity to move towards acceptance of who we are and understand the barriers that have interfered, and caused us more suffering.
I believe that treatment is a partnership between client and therapist. Whether it’s identifying the parts of us that are in internal conflict with Internal Family Systems (IFS) , or challenging thought distortions with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or incorporating mindfulness, radical acceptance, and distress tolerance with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); I offer supports based on clients needs.

Therapy can be like cleaning a closet. Imagine a closest that you have avoided cleaning for years. Over the years, as you acquire more stuff, you shove it into the closet and quickly close the door, hoping it doesn't spill out. You try to ignore what’s in there, but always are aware that behind that closet door is a huge mess. Finally, the day comes that the closet becomes so full the door bursts open. You now are faced withe all of those items you have tried to ignore over the years. You will get rid of some things, but others you keep and can now easily access. You can also clearly see if there are items you need. Therapy is an opportunity to sort through the thoughts and experiences we have wanted to ignore and determine what is no longer serving us while also becoming more in tune with what we already possess, and what tools we need.
